There are some secrets held within the city that include free things to do when visiting. Some local attractions, including museums, tours and animal habitats are offered to guests free of charge. There are even some nightly shows outside of the more popular hotels that cost viewers nothing to see.

Fremont Street Experience
The Freemont Street Experience is the next best thing to walking the main Las Vegas Strip at night. There are nightly shows featuring entertainers, concerts and light show. Free concerts and street parties are held monthly at the pedestrian promenade on the First and Third Street stages. Guest will also be able to enjoy the many entertainers which walk throughout the promenade, including dancers, magicians and comedians.
Every night the pedestrian promenade lights up for the Viva Vision light and sound show. The five blocks of the neon covered Fremont Street glows with more than 2 million lights and plenty of sound effects. Show times are at 7:30 p.m., 8 p.m., 9 p.m., 10 p.m., 11 p.m. and midnight.

Bellagio Hotel and Casino
One of the more popular free things to enjoy while in Las Vegas is the fountain show outside of the Bellagio Hotel and Casino. The front of the hotel is lit up with a fascinating water and light show, set to the music of Frank Sinatra and other Vegas classics. The fountain has more than 1,200 spritzers shooting the water 460 feet high. Fountain shows are held daily every 30 minutes from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. and then every 15 minutes until midnight.
The fountain show is not the only free thing to do when visiting the Bellagio Hotel and Casino. Guests will be able to take a stroll through the Conservatory and Botanical Gardens inside of the hotel. The gardens is filled with rare plant species from all over the world and decorated with larger than life gardening tools and decorations which change with every holiday and season. The Conservatory and Botanical Garden is open daily, 24 hours a day.
Dueling Pianos
Sign, dance and laugh at the antics of dueling pianists who play nightly at several locations throughout Las Vegas. The entertainment is free nightly at Harrah’s Hotel Las Vegas, Paris Hotel Las Vegas and Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar at Town Square and drinks and food are available to purchase.

Flamingo Hotel and Casino
Take a walk through the Wildlife Habitat at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino, home to a flock of Chilean Flamingos and more than 300 other birds. Other species of birds at the Wildlife Habitat include African penguins, swans and ducks, there are also many turtles and Koi in the sparkling ponds.
The Wildlife Habitat is open 24 hours a day on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. every other day of the week.
this outdoor area is lit up at night, making it a magnificent spot for some late night entertainment.
Carroll Shelby Museum and Factory Tours
Tours of the Carroll Shelby Museum and production facility are offered free of charge Mondays through Fridays at 10:30 a.m. Guests will be able to learn about the history and see classic cars dating back to the first production in the facility.
MGM Grand Hotel and Casino
Visit the lions behind the magic at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, which offers a unique showcase that will both educate and entertain. The Lion Habitat at the hotel showcases the creature behind every opening to an MGM movie and helps protect lions.
The Lion Habitat at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino is open daily from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. and is free for everyone to enjoy.
Mirage Hotel
When walking by the Mirage Hotel at night take a moment to enjoy the volcano erupt or walk through the aquarium and tropical rainforest.
The Coral Reef Aquarium is located behind the front desk of the Mirage Hotel and showcases angelfish, sharks, puffer fish, tangs and many exotic species of the oceans. The aquarium contains 20,000 gallons of salt-water that is home to more than 1,000 creatures from 60 different species. The Coral Reef Aquarium is open 24 hours a day.
Also open 24 hours is the Tropical Rain Forest at the Mirage Hotel where guests can stroll through the luscious landscaping and breathtaking waterscapes.
The 54-foot tall volcano in front of the hotel erupts nightly shaking the ground, shooting off flames and smoke and the water in the falls turns to red lava. The show runs every fifteen minutes from 7 p.m. until midnight.
