Making sugar scrub bars is super easy. You’ll just need a little bit of melt and pour soap base, a carrier oil of your choice, and sugar. Some people like to add essential oils for frgrance too. This particular sugar scrub bars recipe uses sweet orange and peppermint essential oils for a lovely minty citrus scent.

Can you make sugar scrub cubes without soap?
Actually, you can make sugar scrub bars without a soap base. The soap is what holds the bar into a solid form, but you can substitute beeswax if you don’t have soap base. I have not personally tried it this way though, so I’m not sure if it would be close to exactly the same texture.

Supplies
- melt and pour soap base
- sugar

Directions
- Cut soap base into 1â€x1†cubes and place two into a microwave safe measuring cup.
- Heat on high for 30 seconds. Stir well.
- Add sugar and olive oil. Stir well.
- Place in microwave for an additional 10 seconds to help soften everything again.
- Remove from microwave and quickly add mica and essential oils. Stir well.
- Immediately pour into the soap mold
- Let set for about 2 hours to harden
- Remove from mold and store in an airtight container for up to 3 months.

Materials
- 2 - 1â€x1†cubes of melt and pour soap base
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- â…› teaspoon Orange Mica Powder
- 20 drops sweet orange essential oil
- 10 drops peppermint essential oil
Tools
- Pink Soap Mold
- Microwave safe measuring cup with spout
- wooden craft stick or spoon for stirring
Instructions
