With so many people getting concerned about coronavirus, and rightfully so, I thought I’d share some tips to help you stay healthy during the Coronavirus outbreak. I’ll admit that it’s scary knowing there’s a virus out there that we haven’t quite figured everything out about. With that being said, I’ve learned that the best way to protect yourself from a virus is to be more proactive about your daily habits.
Some daily habits you can start enforcing with your family include frequent handwashing, covering your mouth when you cough or sneeze, washing your hands after a cough, sneeze or nose blowing incident, and to make your own hand sanitizer.
Below you’ll find a list of my best tips to stay healthy during the coronavirus outbreak. I know this won’t help ease your fears or panic, but I hope it will be your guiding light to help protect your family from contracting the coronavirus and falling extremely ill from the outbreak.
Tips to Stay Healthy During the Coronavirus Outbreak
Wash Those Hands
I do have to giggle when I see my online friends ask why we have to be reminded to wash our hands. I mean, we are adults who know that handwashing is something we should be doing regularly. I get it, but I think the increase in the recommendation is to help remind us how simple the act of washing your hands can really ward off the germs that spread.
Use Hand Sanitizer
For moments when you can’t get to a sink to wash your hands with antibacterial hand soap, you can use hand sanitizer. Unfortunately, everyone seems to be buying hand sanitizer which means it’s rather difficult to find. I recently shared how to make hand sanitizer. It’s so simple to make and all you need are two key ingredients; rubbing alcohol and aloe vera gel.
Keep Surfaces Clean
You can use products to keep your surfaces clean of germs that may cause the coronavirus to wreak havoc upon your home. There are many disinfectant sprays and wipes such as the Lysol Disinfectant Wipes I shared during back to school sickie season. If you’d prefer to use an all-natural option, you can find a variety of disinfectant sprays online. You can also make these diy disposable cleaning wipes.
In all honesty there’s a lot of information and scary information being shared about the coronavirus outbreak. It’s difficult to know how extreme this virus is or how it may impact your everyday life, that’s why I wanted to make sure I placed a focus on tips to stay healthy during the coronavirus outbreak as opposed to trying to share more details about the virus.
From what I’ve heard you must do your part to disinfect your home and continuously wash your hands whenever you’ve been out in public. Keeping your hands clean will help ensure you’re doing your part to keep the virus from spreading faster than it already seems to be.
