Did you know that there are not only one but two other Little Mermaid movies besides the original? I had no idea! I must have been living in my little 80s bubble. Of course I was excited to see what happened to Ariel after marrying the prince and seeing what happened to Ariel before she met the man of her dreams.

and you find out what happened to her which was one of the big mysteries

new villain to contend with.

My favorite part is that we get to see all of our favorite characters plus some new ones. Of course I think these movies are no match for their famous original but they are still enjoyable to any Little Mermaid fan. For a direct to DVD movie the quality is amazing! Both my 5 and 2 year old daughters loved it and to them it was just as awesome as the original.
