How to make Easter nest cookie cups
Making these Easter nest cookie cups is pretty simple, and this is a fun baking project to get the kids involved with. Depending on their age and skill level, they may be able to help place the cookie dough in the muffin pan, pipe the frosting, or add the chocolate eggs.

Ingredients and supplies:
- 1 package of ready to bake chocolate chip cookie dough (24 cookies)
- Vanilla frosting
- Cadbury Mini Eggs
- Green food dye
- Cooking Spray
- Mini cupcake pan
- Wooden spoon
- 1M frosting tip (optional)
- Pastry bag or quart size plastic Ziplock bag
Directions:
Step 1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
Step 2. Coat each cavity of mini cupcake pan with cooking spray.
Step 3. Break apart your cookie dough, and place one piece of cookie dough into each mini cupcake cavity.
Step 4. Bake for 9-12 minutes, until the edges are golden.
Step 5. Remove from the oven. A shallow well should form in the center of each cookie cup once out of the oven. If not, use the end of the wooden spoon to make a small well for your frosting.
Step 6. Let cookie cups cool for 10-15 minutes, leaving them in the mini cupcake pan.
Step 7. Run a butter knife along the edge of each cookie cup to help release them from the pan.
Step 8. Spoon frosting into a small bowl.
Step 9. Add food coloring. Stir well.
Step 10. (optional) Insert frosting tip into pastry bag or ziplock bag. You cup the corner off if using a Ziplock bag.
Step 11. Spoon frosting into pastry bag or Ziplock bag. I have an easy and less messy way to do this. Grab a cup or mug with a wider mouth, and put the bag inside. Fold the top of the bag over the rim of the cup. Then spoon your frosting in and remove the bag from the cup. Knead frosting down to the frosting tip.
Step 12. Pipe frosting into each cookie cup.
Step 13. Top each frosted cookie cup with 2 Cadbury Mini Eggs.
