Kids today have the coolest toys and many of them focus on S.T.E.A.M. which is awesome! I have already posted one review and now here is another one focusing on the world of E-Blox, the construction line that includes circuits. The E is for electrical circuitry that brings colorful plated blocks to life with a whirl, light or sound. With E-Blox Stories kits kids will have hours of educational fun building with blocks that include wireless electronics that also follow along with a story.
The construction toy kits use a patented technology of tin plated blocks that connect electrical component blocks to a battery block enabling youngsters to create 3-dimensional circuits that light whatever they build, with no wires. Included are colorful step by step instructions for building different set ups. Once you get good at it you can free-build making whatever your imagination can come up with!
The Island is a chapter in the E-Blox novelette “Earth One.” Follow the adventures of Seymour and his robot Robyn as he investigates a mysterious light in the distant ocean horizon. The storybook includes QR codes that create an interactive learning environment using online resources. Models are built in several parts of the story with the over 100 included parts, further enhancing the learning experience.
The Island is listed for ages 8+ and Big Sis here is 9 years old and can do it all on her own. Of course she messes up once and a while and she has to go back and find where she made her mistake but she always looks so proud of herself when she fixes it and the whole device then works.
