Back to School season is here! It feels like a fresh start as kids start their journeys into a new school year. It’s time to set big goals and anything is possible when you feel comfortable in your clothes. This August let your littles get ready for the new school year with the Gymboree Back to School Collection!
With the addition of our baby girl 6 weeks ago I now have three girls to outfit every day. Each of them have their own distinct personalities and I want them to express themselves and for them to know they can accomplish anything! My personal goal for the coming year is to have everyone dressed and out of the house every day without yelling! I know this seems like common sense but I truly hate being late so I can be a tad harsh when rushing everyone out of the house. I just need to plan everything out in advance including what the girls will wear and their lunches so that mornings run smoother.
Big Sis is going into the third grade and she wants to “not get in trouble more than 5 times this school year.” She is my most outgoing child and often times she will speak out without thinking or without raising her hand so she hopes to avoid any trouble by thinking before she speaks. I thought this was a very mature and obtainable goal for her. Lil Sis is starting kindergarten and she wants to “learn how to read and make new friends.” Nothing is quite as exciting as learning what all those letters put together mean. Reading books on your own is the start of a lifelong love of reading. My mama librarian heart just bursts with pride that she is so eager to learn to read. My goal for Baby Sis is for her to sleep the night. That would be a dream come true! I like setting goals as it is gives me something to focus on throughout the year.
Besides setting #KidGoals I also like letting them pick new looks for the new school year and Gymboree is the perfect fit for my family’s first day of school. I have been shopping at Gymboree ever since Big Sis was born because I like their top quality, coordinating looks to outfit them for every occasion.
Big Sis is loud, outgoing and adventurous and this monster outfit she picked out perfectly showcases her traits. She says this outfit is “crazy wild just like me.”
Lil Sis is sweet, thoughtful and eager to learn. This classic outfit she picked out is more traditional but showcases bits of flair. Perfect for my sometimes shy but sometimes adventurous middle child. She claims this dress is “sparkly just like the stars she likes.”
Of course Baby Sis is too small to pick out anything for herself. She is only 6 weeks old so her personality is only just now starting to show itself. For her outfit I chose simple pinks with an cute mouse design. I think it is an adorable baby girl outfit that easily mixes and matches with several pieces in Gymboree’s baby girl collection. I like that I can add the jacket when it is cooler out and that the socks came in a two-pack so that I can match them up either way I want that day.
