The story deepens in the music-driven sequel to the global smash hit “Descendants,” as the teenage sons and daughters of Disney’s most infamous villains — Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay (also known as Villain Kids or VKs) — try to find their place in idyllic Auradon.
When the pressure to be royally perfect becomes too much for Mal, she returns to her rotten roots on the Isle of the Lost where her archenemy Uma, the daughter of Ursula, has taken her spot as self-proclaimed queen of the run-down town.? Uma, still resentful over not being selected by Ben to go to Auradon Prep with the other Villain Kids, stirs her pirate gang including Captain Hook’s son Harry and Gaston’s son Gil, to break the barrier between the Isle of the Lost and Auradon, and unleash all the villains imprisoned on the Isle, once and for all.

The first movie, Descendants, hooked my girls from the opening song. Since then we have all grown to love Mal and all her friends. We were beyond excited to watch Descendants 2 to see their story continue. Once again the songs are catchy and are one of the many reasons we enjoy the movies. We even play the soundtracks in the car so we can sing to all the songs all the time! This movie shows us that Mal is still having a hard time transitioning to the “good” side even though her fellow “villians” seem to be doing fine in Auradon. She even goes as far as running away….back to the home she grew up in on the Isle of the Lost. Her friends and boyfriend head in after her to try and to save her as well as prevent the villains from opening up the barrier to release the villains on Auradon. Another fabulous movie that my girls have already watched multiple times. The movie is so good I am sure the world will see many Descendants costumes this Halloween!
