As a family of five and four of the five having sleeping disorders I can honestly say that the best New Year’s resolution for me would be to get better sleep! Verlo Mattress has just launched its new sleep monitor SmartWake, a device that tracks your sleeping stages. While it tacks your sleep, the World’s Smartest Alarm Clock will wake you at the lightest phase of sleep! This is the best possible time for starting the day.
I can honestly say I am extremely impressed with the SmartWake sleep monitor. It gives you so much helpful information about what’s going on with your body as it sleeps. For those of you questioning if you may have sleep apnea the device will notify you if you stop breathing. ?If you are notified that you stop breathing while you sleep make sure you follow up with your Ear Nose and Throat doctor because if you have an obstruction that’s the doctor that will be able to correct your breathing issues.

Once you activate your device you need to sync it with your SmartPhone then place it under your mattress where you sleep chest level where it can monitor your heart rate, breathing and movement. ?If you share your bed with a partner then make sure to place the SmartWake under the mattress on your side of the bed chest level.
Before you go to bed open your app and make sure you enter in your My Diary. ?You just need to let your device know how much alcoholic drinks, caffeinated drinks and fitness training you have done within the last three hours before going to bed. Youhave the option to select none, a little, moderate and a lot.
The SmartWake App tracks?your sleep cycles and calculates the best time to wake you within your selected alarm timeframe. ?I set my alarm to go off between 6 and 6:30 A.M. so that I have plenty of time to get my children to school. ?As you can see I have a long way to go before I reach my New Year’s Resolution of better sleep!
