As many of you know, my Lil Man has dubbed himself the “Hot Sauce King” and when it comes to food, his motto is “the spicier the better”. I don’t know how he does it because I can barely handle a little kick when it comes to spice, but this boy loves it! When I saw the shop for El Yucateco, I knew I had to do it for him, so we could make?XXX Spicy Chili Cups for our game day festivities.
I shopped for my ingredients and almost went into a panic when I couldn’t find the El Yucateco XXX Habanero Hot Sauce (Kutbilik) in the aisle where the other sauces were. But I knew Walmart had it?because I have picked up the Red Habanero Hot Sauce for him before. So I headed to the Hispanic food section and low and behold, I found El Yucateco!
Since he’s the “Hot Sauce King”, we thought it would be fun to get all decked out in El Yucateco gear for our game day fun. We got t-shirts and can cozies from the El Yucateco gear store, but they also offer hoodies, hats and more. I’m sure you’ll find something you love!
Lil Man helped with the recipe and we loaded all of the ingredients into the crock pot, then let it simmer for a few hours. You know chili, the longer it simmers, the better it tastes!
This recipe is really easy to make and is a perfect finger food for a game day spread. I made a little video to show you how easy it is to just add everything to your crock pot, and you’ll find the full recipe below.
Now I’m not gonna lie, this appetizer is HOT! You’ll definitely want to let people know, but for those who like some kick to their food, it is pretty darn amazing!
