ThawTHAT! II is a great invention for those last minute menu decisions! I love the weekends because that usually means I get a break from cooking. However, my husband isn’t much for planning what he’s going to grill. That usually means we eat hours later than if I were to cook. ?If we have not planned our meal for the evening we usually run hot/cold water over our meat of choice. I’ve never liked to use the microwave for defrosting, but have used it as a last resort. It always cooks the meat partially and the meat tends to be tough.
Now I don’t have to worry about eating hours later or using the microwave, instead I can place our frozen meat on the ThawTHAT! II and it is ready in no time. Depending on what type of meat your trying to thaw will determine how long it will take. It makes thawing meat so much easier and quicker.
ThawTHAT! II uses a bio-safe thermo reservoir that actively draws cold away. It requires no electricity or batteries, and the plate defrosts food using an eco-friendly-solution that lets you defrost meat 4 x faster than room temperature. It also features a removable drip catcher that gathers liquid as your food thaws. Its concave design directs liquid to the drip-catcher so that you don?t have to worry about cleaning up any messes.
It is very simple to use. First you must make sure your meat is flat on the surface. Then allow for the amount of time needed to thaw your meat. After each use, wash with a soft sponge or wash cloth and mild dish washing liquid. Wipe dry after cleaning. They recommend hand washing to keep surface shiny like new. I would have never thought to put it in the dishwasher because I would be too worried it?would damage the bio-safe thermo reservoir.
