Computer games are one of the few ways I get to escape and have some “me time.” Since that time is so rare I make sure to spend it playing games I really enjoy. Last year I reviewed the game Delicious: Emily’s New Beginning and I loved it so much I played through the whole game till I finished it! It really is that much fun! I am excited to share with you that Emily’s adventures continue in Delicious: Emily’s Home Sweet Home. Emily moves to a new town with her husband and young daughter only to experience incredible challenges with their new home and neighbors.

You control Emily and help her serve all the patrons that come to her little garden restaurant. It starts out easy and gets progressively harder. More tables, more patrons and tons more food options as you unlock them. You also cook some of the food but make sure to plate it before it burns! You get paid in tips and get bonuses for serving full orders, multiple tables and doing it all as quick as possible.
Each level you get a score and unlock more food products. If you see a mouse make sure to click it for more points! It may not sound like much but it is honestly a ton of fun and I got hooked after just playing the first few levels!
Between some levels will be bonus sections that you play. They have a special objective like serving flowers only that afternoon. Each level is a little different that the one before it so the game always keeps you on your toes.
You can use the diamonds you earn to buy stuff for the house that Emily’s husband is fixing up. You buy stuff piece by piece.
The Delicious franchise is so great because of the fun storylines as well as the game design. Emily has tackled several life choices that many of us make (in a more dramatic fashion of course). She planned a wedding requiring unfathomable logistics and sacrifice of sanity, she has suffered a crisis of self when confronted with her husband’s desire to start a family before she is ready to give up her life as an entrepreneur and in the game I reviewed most recently she faced the challenges of combining running a restaurant together with being a mom.
