I am a big fan of balance bikes for kids as a first bike but one company, Leg&Go, has taken it several steps further and created an amazing bike design that can be switched around into 8 different configurations for a toy that really does work for children from eight months to six years old.
Don’t let the picture above fool you, the traditional balance bike set-up is only the beginning as it can start out as a rocker.

Right now to get their product off the ground for mass manufacturing at the lowest cost possible, they need money to get started. They have posted their Kickstarter campaign to do just that. Donations as small as $10 help out and at $179 you can put in for one of the Leg&Go bike models. The higher the amount you pledge, the better rewards you get.? They even have stretch goals if they are able to get to certain amounts. I really like the looks of the tricycle and tow wagon stretch goal.
For those of you that live near snow you should definitely check out their polar bike design. I have only seen snow a handful of times in my life so I can only imagine how much fun that thing would be!

After the Kickstarter time frame ends, the price will be higher. Your child can glide smoothly and with confidence on this first bike that grows with them as they do.
