Bath time is always an adventure in our house. We usually end up laughing and having a lot of fun in addition to wet floors and lots of water spilled. My son loves to have a place to set things and the bathtub is no exception. He loves lining up his cars and toys along the side of the tub, but a lot of times they fall and he gets upset. Now with the Tubby Table, not only does have get to play with it, but it’s also a great place for him to have fun with his other bath toys.
The Tubby Table is a bathtub play table designed to keep bath time play in the center of the tub and water from spilling all over the bathroom floor. Created by LA-based mothers of twins, the Tubby Table was also developed with an eye toward a child’s early development. The tabletop features five numbered cups in different shapes and colors for fun and even a little learning in the tub. Of course, toddlers love playing with their own tea-sets, cars and other toys on the tabletop. Two kids can play in the bathtub together with the Tubby Table, too.
Setup of the Tubby Table was really simple. All you need is 5 minutes and a Phillips-head screwdriver and you’re ready to go. I really like that it came with a slip resistant seat for my son to sit on while in the tub playing. So many times his bottom slides around and this keeps him in one spot to concentrate on playing.
The Tubby Table fits well in any tub and the large suction cup at the bottom keeps it in place and prevents it from falling over. I really like that the Tubby Table allows water to drain out through the holes so it’s not collecting and potentially spilling onto the floors. My son absolutely loves having a place where he can place all of his bath toys and play. I enjoy not having to mop up spilled water every night since he does a lot less splashing of water outside of the tub. He’s so into playing with the Tubby Table that it makes washing him easier since his concentration is on playing.
This is a great tub toy for any child and would make an excellent gift for the upcoming holidays. I love that not only is the Tubby Table fun, but can be educational as well and it’s obvious why this won Top Toy of the Year Award this year. The Tubby Table makes bath time so much fun and a lot less messy.
