Stop the Embarrassment of Bedwetting with Chummie

The Chummie Bedwetting Alarm is a treatment tool designed to teach children to respond to a full bladder by waking them up and using the toilet. Like a lot of parents I was struggling to get my daughter to stop wetting the bed. Bedwetting runs in my side of the family so I was worried she would grow up with this embarrassing habit.

I was a little confused at first on how to strap this on her…but quickly I figured it out with the pictures and easy to follow directions! It even came with it’s own batteries, which I love!

The Alarm Unit, which is the little smiley face as pictured above, hooks onto her t-shirt, then the cord runs under her shirt. The Intelliflex Sensor is placed on the outside of her underpants with the Flexitape, which is super sticky so you will not have a problem with it coming off.

So the second a drop of urine hits the sensor, an alarm goes off awakening your child. They’ll usually stop urination and continue once they reach the bathroom. This process helps your child’s brain connect that it has a full bladder. With in weeks the Chummie should work and your child will experience dry nights!

Onto my daughters results:

The first night she wore this, she did not wake up when the alarm was going off around 2am, so she obviously wet the bed. I cleaned her up and put her back to bed, to be woken up at 6am as she wet the bed again.

The second night see woke up at 4 am to the alarm going off. This time she held it until we made it to the bathroom. Yay!

The third thru the fifth nights were the same, and gradually overtime I did not have to use this, although some nights were harder than others. Overall it took about 3 weeks.

I am so relieved by the fact she is no longer wetting the bed and we are able to save money on pull-ups!

I know every child’s experience will be different with the Chummie, but from our experience I would definitely recommend this! It has a 96.8% success rate and less than 1% children relapse unlike other options.
