One of the most important items for school and work lunches/snacks is produce. Every other week I go to the local produce stand to gather up fruits and vegetables for meals, my husband and the kids lunch bags. I personally like purchasing produce locally because it invests back into our community and supports our local farmers! Since produce is one of our main grocery items, it’s important to keep it fresh and each type of produce actually needs a different air flow to keep longer. I was given the opportunity to try out Tupperware’s FridgeSmart Containers, a system designed to help preserve farm-fresh produce by an innovative air-flow and moisture protection locking top.
There is the option to have the air-flow completely open, halfway or closed and depends on the type of produce that you’ve purchased. Thankfully there is a photo list on the side that helps you know how much moisture protection each item needs.
It even tells you what items you should not be refrigerating. I had no idea that I wasn’t supposed to put peaches and plums in the fridge!
You can purchase each container individually, but as each item differs in what locking system it needs, it works better as a set. The set has 4 containers in various sizes.
