As a mom, I generally don’t get sick days. Even if I’m sick as can be and the hubby lets me relax, the kids are still up my butt wanting something. Other times, I’ll have work obligations and things to do so I can’t just fully rest and get better.
I’m not generally a medicine person. I usually just wait things out and deal with the symptoms, knowing that my body will eventually get through it. Chicken soup is usually a pretty good healer too. However, on those days that I mentioned above, I gladly take something to help get me through the day and/or night.
There are only certain products that I will take for my cold and flu symptoms. With so many products out there, it’s hard to know what to trust, so I stick with Vicks, a product that my family has used since I can remember.
Vicks offer non-drowsy relief for multiple symptoms with Vicks DayQuil. Vicks DayQuil Cold & Flu Relief can help to relieve the aches, fever, sore throat, stuffy head and cough associate with your cold or flu. They’re available in liquid or the LiquiCaps, which I prefer.
It’s great to know that Vicks DayQuil will help alleviate my symptoms, yet I will still be able to function in all of my daily tasks. I couldn’t imagine trying to write a blog post with “medicine head”; though I’m sure the result would be quite funny!
Daytime aside, one of my biggest issues when I’m sick is getting enough sleep. I usually have a cough or runny nose that makes it nearly impossible to even fall asleep, let alone get a good nights rest. Nights like those, relief is impossible so I turn to Vicks NyQuil.
I’ve found that Vicks NyQuil will put me out quick, just what I want. It allows me to fall asleep and stay asleep, getting all of the rest that I need for a bright new day. Most times, I awake feeling much better than I did the day before.
Below are some tips that you should take into consideration before taking any kind of medication:
- Remember before trying any new medication make sure to check with your doctor & follow the proper recommended course of treatment.
- DayQuil & Nyquil is not recommended for children younger than 12. Please be sure to consult your physician before giving DayQuil & NyQuil to children.
- When using DayQuil/NyQuil, be sure to follow the usage guidelines for warnings and dosage directions or visit http://www.vicks.com for more information.
I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Vicks DayQuil & NyQuil. I received product samples and a promotional item as a thank you for participating. All opinions are my own and/or my family’s, take it or leave it. Click here to view my whole disclosure policy.
