Do you remember how I told you that I pre-ordered The Amazing Spider-Man and would get a digital copy on Vudu so that we could watch it before its Ultra Violet Blu-ray and DVD release on November 9th? Well we got it on October 30th and watched it last night! I let the kids invite some of their friends over and we had a fun little Spider-Man Halloween party. They have been so excited waiting for this party, so I was glad when yesterday finally arrived!
I started off with a trip to Walmart where I purchased all of the supplies for the party. I grabbed 3 Marketside Pizzas to feed my crazy crowd! I got two 16 inch ones and one 12 inch one to feed my army of 14. Closer to the launch of The Amazing Spider-Man, Walmart will be releasing Augmented Reality triggers for The Amazing Spider-Man. They will be included on the pizza boxes as well as the display pallet. You can use your iPhone, iPad or Android to trigger special Amazing Spider-Man experiences in-store.
Once I was done shopping, I gathered my stuff and headed to the car so I could get home and start making all of the goodies I had prepared for! I just knew the kids were going to love all these special treats! I thought they’d go over well with the adults too!
I know how kids just love special things just for them at parties, so I made some Spider-Man goody bags filled with candy, stickers and a Spider-Man mask. I added an extras little something in one of the bags and the kid who received that bag would get an extra bag full of candy!
Some of the fun treats that I made for the kids included a Party Mix with popcorn, pretzels, mini crackers, candy corn, M&Ms and chocolate chips as well as some Halloween themed Witches Hats.
I even decorated the living room with cob webs for an eerie spider feel. The kids thought it was awesome!
We started off the party by eating some pizza and it was delicious! I’ve never bought Maketside Pizzas before and was amazed with how good it was. My husband and I were even talking about it this morning, how it tasted great and was priced reasonably.
After dinner, I gave the kids their party bags and they all put on their Spider-Man masks to pose for a picture.
While the kids were playing, I brought out some of the party treats so they could enjoy them. It went over very well! They thought the Witches Hats were super cool! They’re really easy to make too!
Then it was time to watch The Amazing Spider-Man! The kids were so excited to watch it and all of the kids found a spot to get comfy. The kids had a great time at our party and thought The Amazing Spider-Man was an awesome movie! All of the boys spent the night and let me tell you, 5 boys after all that sugar are insane! They had a great time though, so it was well worth it!
