Superheros are a pretty big thing in my house. Go figure, with all these boys. Who’d have thought?
One of our favorites is Spider-Man and my whole family is gearing up for the release of The Amazing Spider-Man in November. We’re super excited because we’ll be able to see the movie before it releases and we’re even throwing a party to celebrate!
You can get The Amazing Spider-Man DVD and The Amazing Spider-Man Blu-Ray + DVD + UltraViolet Limited Edition Mask gift set pre-purchase box at Walmart, so I headed there today to make sure we got our copy. When you pre-order this movie, you get an early digital copy of the movie on Vudu.com; so you can watch as early as October 30th! The actual DVD copy will then be mailed a few days before the November 9th release.
The Amazing Spider-Man looks like it’s going to be a great movie. I think it’s pretty cool that we’ll be able to watch this a week before release. I know my kids are super stoked too!
Of course they’re looking forward to our Spider-Man themed party for Halloween too. They’re already talking to friends about it! I know Walmart has a pretty decent selection of party supplies, so I wanted to see what Spider-Man branded supplies I could find. There was a big “Spider-Man”sign at the top of the rack, so it was easy to spot the Spider-Man stuff. There are signs for other characters too.
There was quite a selection to choose from. I ended up picking out Spider-Man favor bags, masks and stickers. It’ll be fun to get a group shot of all the kids wearing their masks! Since our party is a Spider-Man themed Halloween party, I didn’t want to get Spider-Man invites. Instead I grabbed a pack of stickers and we’re going to make our own invites themed around both Halloween and Spider-Man.
As soon as I got home from Walmart, I opened up the DVD box packaging. There’s a disk inside with a code on it. Simply enter the code at Vudu.com and you’ll get an early digital copy of The Amazing Spider-Man on October 30th. Then an actual hard copy DVD will be mailed to you a few days before the release date of November 9th. The disk includes directions on how to redeem your pre-order Blu-ray, DVD and gift set. I’ll walk you through it below as well.
Head to Vudu.com/theamazingspiderman and enter the code found inside your package.
Once you submit the code, a screen will pop up that allows you to either log in {if you’re already registered} or sign up for a free account.
You’ll fill in all of the requested info. You can sign up for an UltraViolet account and get a free movie on Vudu.com. You can either enter credit card information now, or when you rent your first movie on Vudu.com. You won’t be paying for the service because it’s free. You only pay for movies that you rent through Vudu.
Next you’ll enter your shipping information so that the Blu-ray disk or DVD can be shipped.
Lastly, you’ll see a congratulations message stating that you now own the digital copy of The Amazing Spider-Man!
