Walgreens recently launched a new loyalty card, Balance Rewards. With the Balance Rewards card, you can save, earn and redeem in store and online. You can save on sale items and earn points. You’ll even earn points for filling prescriptions!
Signing up for Balance Rewards is easy, either in store or online using the Walgreens app. I used the app to sign up. You can follow step by step instructions in my Google+ album.
On the Balance Rewards page, you can join now or scan your card if you joined in store. Of course I wasn’t a member yet, so I clicked on Join Now.
After filling in a bit of info, I received my virtual card. I’m pretty excited because I have a large family so I’m always looking for more ways to save. Store loyalty cards are definitely one of the major ways that I save because I never seem to clip my coupons! The #BalanceRewards card just really makes it so much easier to take advantage of Walgreens savings.
I’m a busy girl and I really despise shopping, I know, call me crazy!. I’m just not your average shopaholic type of girl. Once I found out that I could shop using the Walgreens Rewards app, I knew that’s the way that I would shop. Finding the stuff I wanted to shop for was easy because everything is categorized.
Things became even easier when I discovered that if I scrolled down on a particular category, I could break it down even more by searching for a specific product or brand!
Signing up for Balance Rewards and shopping through the Walgreens app was definitely convenient and time saving. It will come in handy even more when I send other people in my household to the store. They always seem to get something wrong!
I did have one problem while shopping though and it could have just been an error on my part. I’m not quite sure. When I went to checkout, it wanted my shipping information so that they could ship the products to me. Well that just wasn’t going to fly this time because shaving cream is one of the things I was purchasing and I was completely out! Next time, I’ll have to figure out what I did wrong though, so that I can just shop online and send someone else to get my stuff.
Heading to the store wasn’t a huge deal since I planned to pick the stuff up there anyway. I didn’t have a whole lot on my list, so I wouldn’t have to spend a whole lot of time in the store anyway. I did find some great deals like the Dippers snacks for the kids’ lunches for just a buck each when you buy 2. Irish Spring men’d body wash was buy one get one too!
I did get a nice little bonus at the checkout counter too, a coupon for $15 off my next purchase of $50 or more!
You can stay in the loop by connecting with Walgreens through Facebook and @Walgreens on Twitter.
