I have always been a fan of Musicals. I know many like to poke fun at the fact that the character will randomly break out in song, but that is what I truly love about them! A singer at heart, I have been known to randomly break out in song, myself. I would sing random songs to my kids as I changed their diapers; I clean best when I have the radio blasting and I am singing at the top of my lungs (no need for upbeat songs, I simply need to be able to croon along, ballads are best, I must admit.); I have been known to sing crazy songs about pretty much anything at anytime! Yep, I love music and musicals.
My Fair Lady holds a special place in my heart, because at our wedding reception, my handsome and amazingly talented hubby sang “On The Street Where You Live” from this classic musical. I also always loved the races scene…really who doesn’t love Audrey Hepburn telling the horse to move his blooming…well you know what I mean.
My Fair Lady was released on Blu-Ray disc in November and I was sent a copy for review. I was amazed at the improvement in image quality from DVD to Blu-Ray! I didn’t think that they could have improved the quality on a movie created so long ago, but they didn’t disappoint. You would ALMOST think that they had just filmed the movie months ago instead of decades, based on the image quality. If you are a fan of this classic musical, you will definitely want to own a Blu-Ray copy (and even if you are new to My Fair Lady, I recommend owning a copy!).
