School is back in session around here. While back to school shopping, Columbia is one of the first places I thought of for my boys. It’s one of my family’s favorite brands because of their styles and quality.
“We enjoy the outdoors as much as you do, which means we know what you need. We know that being cold and wet is no fun. Blue eyes may be sexy, but blue lips aren’t. And, while a sunny day is excellent, sunburn sucks. That’s why we make high-quality performance products that keep you comfortable and protected, no matter where your excursions take you.”
Though my kids are still pretty young, they are all about style. They like to look good and know it. That’s why I just knew Lil Man would just adore the Blue Heat Excursion Vest from Columbia.
When it’s too cold for a tee and too warm for a jacket, this great layering piece is just right for boys on the go.
The weather might vary, but his love for playing outdoors doesn?t. This versatile vest has him covered in a variety of conditions, thanks to Omni-Shield? advanced repellency and our new core-warming Omni-Heat? thermal reflective lining. Cozy sherpa fleece around the collar adds cozy comfort; an internal security pocket and media pocket carries his favorite tunes and other small essentials.

As soon as the Blue Heat Excursion Vest arrived at our house, I was excited for him to see it. I opened the package and gave him the vest, asking if he liked it. He got a big cheesy smile and yelled “Yes!” He immediately had to try it on and show it off to the rest of our little zoo here. I thought it looked quite well on him if I do say so myself!
Not only is the Blue Heat Excursion Vest stylish, but it’s nice and warm so that I don’t have to worry about him getting chilly in this brisk fall-like weather we’ve been having. I was actually quite pleasantly surprised by how well the Omni-Heat really kept the heat in. I definitely think it’s much better than traditional vest material.
