NYS Collection offers the latest in today’s eyewear without the high price tag typically associated with premium sunglasses. The company was founded in 1996 by two young entrepreneurs, Sal Babbino and Marc Behar, with one retail location at the World Trade Center in New York City. Today NYS Collection sunglasses are sold in more than 10,000 retail locations worldwide. In the last decade, NYS Collection has established itself as the leading eyewear provider for the specialty retail industry. That position as market leader has further propelled the company’s expansion within traditional retail outlets, with sales increasing at a rate of 30% to 50% annually. Rising sales, market leadership, and a proven record of success are evidence that NYS Collection is a major player in the eyewear industry. NYS Collection eyewear is made to exacting standards and all sunglasses come with a lifetime guarantee.
Back during my ‘life before kids’ I didn’t have fancy, expensive sunglasses- and I don’t now either. I am, you see- what is called a total klutz and have a tendency to break/ruin something that’s really nice- within hours of purchasing it. That tendency- has now tripled since I have three kids to add to my likelihood to ruin. Necklaces, bracelets, earrings- I currently don’t bother with any of them right now since the boys like to rip what they can off of me and break it on the spot.
I do, however like nice sunglasses. I would love to own a pair with a fancy name- but that makes absolutely no sense for me since they will most likely be ruined. Luckily for me, however- there is a brand that look and feel like quality, designer sunglasses- but don’t have that price tag attached.
NYS Collection– a leader in the international eyewear and eyewear accessory market with a wholesale division selling millions of sunglasses each year. Fashionable yet affordable sunglasses are available at NYS Kiosks in shopping-centers in all 50 states, as well as on their website, www.nyscollection.com. These sunglasses are perfect for the kids, parents, and just about anybody else in the family. The styles that are created by NYS are so varied that anybody will find something that they like.
I picked out the style 1934 in tort. I was hoping they would look ok, as the obvious pitfall of ordering something like sunglasses online is that there isn’t that try-on opportunity. Fortunately, they fit great. They aren’t too tight (gives me a headache) or too loose (won’t stay on top of my head). The lenses also aren’t so dark that I look like I’m trying to hide (or not really hide) from the paparazzi. When I looked in the mirror I could SEE MY EYES- it was a nice change. Coming in at a respectable $25 isn’t too shabby. I can wear them, and if they are victim to a child’s roughhousing- so be it. I won’t cry a river.
They even send along this very nice little grey bag to keep them safe in my purse:
Overall- I highly recommend you check out NYS Collection the next time you need some shades. Be it online or at a kiosk at the mall, chances are you can find something you like. They even have a Snooki and Jersey Shore line if you’re interested (how can you not investigate Poof Nation?)! But also for the high end types, they do have a couple of designer lines that can run up to $95.00.
