Do you remember the last time you played THE GAME OF LIFE? For me it has been well over a decade! I had quite the collection of board games growing up and now as an adult with a family of my own I am working on building quite the assortment of board games but the one that was missing was The Game of Life which was one of my favorites growing up! We play games at least once a week and as soon as this game arrived I had to play.
THE GAME OF LIFE
Where will your choices take you? You made it through high school, so now what’s next? Go to college or start a career ? it’s your choice. Think the family life is for you? Take that path and see how many kids you?ll have! Will you venture down the risky road where fortunes can be won?and lost? Do whatever it takes to retire in style with the most wealth at the end of the game. Spin the wheel of fate and take a drive along the twisting roads families have enjoyed for more than 50 years! Do good deeds as you go through the game to earn Life Tiles and more money down the road!
Just setting up the game brought back happy childhood memories of playing with my family. Those little people pegs, the fun careers, seeing how many children I will end up with and I can’t forget the especially fun spinner. I can get pretty darn competitive when it comes to just about anything and this game brought out the fun in all of us. I do want to note for the record that I did win which of course made it all that much more fun! I promise I am not a sore looser when I lose and more often than not I lose.
The game does have some differences to the original. Just looking at the board game itself you can see it is smaller than the original and more like a traditional board game which also leads to easy set up. The path itself is different with new things spread out throughout the game to change it up slightly. The important part remains…try and get to retirement and do it with lots of money.
This game will always be a classic! Happy Gaming!
