Keyword: bubble bath bar
Yield: 16

Materials

  • 1 cup SLSa
  • 1/3 cup cocoa butter
  • 4 tablespoons glycerin
  • 2 teaspoons cetyl alcohol
  • ½ cup citric acid
  • 40 drops essential oils
  • 1 ½ cups baking soda
  • Mica powder
  • Ice cream scoop large

Instructions

  • Add the SLSa and baking soda together.
  • Melt together the cocoa butter and cetyl alcohol. Once melted, add in the glycerin and essential oils.
  • Combine the wet and dry ingredients. Once they are combined, add in the citric acid.
  • Start molding with your hands. It should turn out like a dough consistency.
  • Start adding in mica powder for the colors you want. Separate the dough into sections for the colors you want. I did one pink, one green.
  • Knead until fully combined.
  • Spread out dough onto a cutting board. Then alternate and scoop the dough until you fill the ice cream scoop.
  • Squeeze the handle to release the bar.
  • Let sit for a few days to fully harden.
  • To Use: Add under the running water to give your bath some bubbles and fizz.

Notes

Essential oils are optional, but lavender, frankincense, and ylang ylang are great options.
You can use shea butter instead of cocoa butter if you want.
