A bubble bath bar is a solid bath product that creates bubbles when crumbled under running water. It works like liquid bubble bath but comes in a compact, solid form.
Break off a piece and crumble it under warm running water as the tub fills. The stronger the water pressure, the more bubbles you’ll get.
If stored in a dry place, it can last several weeks to a few months. Keeping it sealed away from moisture helps it stay firm.
Ingredients
- SLSa
- Cocoa butter
- Glycerin
- Cetyl alcohol
- Citric acid
- Essential oils
- Baking soda
- Mica powder
- Ice cream scoop

How to Make Easy Bubble Bath Bars
Mix the SLSa and baking soda in a bowl.

Melt the cocoa butter and cetyl alcohol together.

When fully melted, stir in the glycerin and essential oils.

Add the melted mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well. Once combined, gently mix in the citric acid.
Use your hands to work the mixture until it forms a soft, dough-like texture.

Divide the dough into sections for each color you want. Add mica powder to each section. I used pink and green.
Knead each section until the color is fully blended.

Spread the dough out on a cutting board. Alternate scoops of each color and pack them into an ice cream scoop.
Squeeze the handle to release the bar.

Let the bars sit for a few days so they can fully harden.
To use: Hold under running water to create bubbles and fizz in your bath.
Notes:
Essential oils are optional. Lavender, frankincense, and ylang ylang work well.
Shea butter can be used instead of cocoa butter if you prefer.
