To me, not much says glam and luxury like a great smelling perfume. It is the perfect finishing touch to any outfit and with so many different fragrances, their is always the perfect perfume out there for what ever you occasion may be. As a busy mom, the fact that some days I leave the house after spending time on my hair, make-up, and outfit choice is a cause for celebration and a liberal spritz of a great smelling perfume.
Seth Kornegay recently launched is own line of luxury perfumes, focusing more on the use of pure, high end ingredients, amazing fragrances, and limited quality batches. Each perfume is made in small, hand-crafted quantities, around 7500 units in total. Kornegay’s main goal is to bring back the air of sophistication that seems to be lost in the current perfume market. Did you know that in France, it is a big commotion when a girl finally choses her perfume and that most women never share what their signature fragrance is. It’s a lost art to most of us in America as we are bombarded with commercials and the perfume girls in department stores selling the mass produced perfumes of celebrities and the like. Kornegay’s line of parfums are a breath of scented air amongst the chaos.
Unable to smell the perfume before choosing one became a difficult task. Every description sounds just amazing. I originally chose the Tr’s Belle Femme, which sounded like the sophisticated yet airy ‘girly’ perfume that I lean towards. I believe the perfume gods were smiling down on though, because the Petra is what arrived and after just one quick spritz, I knew this eau de Parfum was meant for me.
Petra is the only unisex fragrance available. It is a unique fragrance containing Sensual Amber notes, Alpine Freshness, white and dark woody notes, Northern herbs, rare barks, and high-class Islay single-malt Scotch whiskey. Yes, you read that right, there is Scotch whiskey in my perfume! It is a deep, aromatic perfume with light, sweet notes. It makes me think of old Hollywood with its sophisticated scent. When I wear Petra, it has a very sweet undertone. When my husband wears it, it takes on a more musky scent. I just adore how different, but still amazing the perfume can smell on two different people.
The current line contains one unisex, two men’s, and three women’s fragrances, one of which was inspired by and created to honor First Lady Michelle Obama. If nothing strikes your fancy or you’re the one-of-a-kind type of person, you can have Kornegay custom make a scent specifically for you or an event you’re attending. For us non-famous people, that could mean a signature scent for a bride, a graduate, or even a major anniversary.
