I think summer has finally officially hit here in Wisconsin because it’s been quite hot lately. With the heat comes a need to refresh, so I thought it would be fun to whip up some smoothie drinks for the family. Everyone loves fruit drinks, so I thought Tropical Fruit Smoothies would be a big hit with everyone. Boy was I right! You’ll have to check out the recipe at the end of the post, because I bet your family would love them too!
Since it’s been so hot, the kids have been wanting to go to the beach constantly. So one day grabbed some things from Walmart, packed a cooler and headed to the beach for a little picnic. The 96 oz bottle of Watermelon Kool-Aid was a perfect inclusion for our picnic because we didn’t have a whole lot of room in the little cooler. So we just stuffed a bag of ice in it (with a few bottled waters for Lil Man) so that we could still enjoy cold drinks!
It was really nice to have a little picnic with just my little family. We definitely don’t get enough time together with just the four of us. We talked, we joked, we laughed and we had such a great time. It’s little simple moments like this that I treasure the most.
Everyone had a nice time at our picnic on the beach. We even did a little “cheers” to family fun!
Once the food was gone and bellies were settled it was time for some fun in the water. The beach we go to had a nice little pier that you can jump off of, so I had to get a shot of Big Bro jumping in.
It was great seeing my boys playing in the water and getting along so well, like brothers should.
After we were done swimming, we went for a nice walk through the park, taking refreshment on the go. We made some great family memories that day and I can’t wait to do it again!
