I have a dirty little secret that not many people know. But since I adore all of you wonderful readers, I suppose I can let the cat out of the bag. I have gray hair and I started getting my first strands at the young age of 19. Yes, you sure did read that correctly – 19 years old. 19 was way to young for grays in my book, so I started doing what any normal person under those circumstances would do. I colored my hair.
But the thing with coloring hair to hide the gray, is you really have to do it pretty often. It’s a royal pain and serves as a constant reminder that my locks aren’t natural. But luckily there are products that can help to lock my color in longer!
I started using Nexxus Color Assure products almost 2 months ago when I cut and colored my hair. That happens to be the last time that I had to color too, thanks to these great products!
I start with the Nexxus Color Assure Pre-Wash Primer as a pre-treatment before I wash my hair. The Nexxus Color Assure Pre-Wash Primer helps to repel water so color lasts longer. I love that it’s sulfate free and contains some of my favorite oils such as almond, coconut and argan oil.With the help of these oils, Nexxus Color Assure Pre-Wash Primer locks in moisture, nourishes hair and reduces breakage. My hair is softer, shinier and more vibrant as well.
After using the Pre-Wash Primer, I use the Color Assure Vibrancy Retention Shampoo, Color Assure Vibrancy Retention Conditioner and Color Assure Glossing Tonic. I’ve been using these products for almost 2 months and my color still looks great. Here’s a photo of me just two weeks ago and there isn’t a gray hair in sight!
I’ve tried many products since I started coloring my hair so long ago, yet nothing has worked quite as good in keeping my color as the Nexxus Color Assure line.
