“The goal of the Handstand Kids is to create a global community of children,? says author and creator Yvette Garfield. ?We want to educate children about the importance of healthy and nutritious foods, while at the same time teaching them how to cook with these ingredients.? She goes on to say, ?In addition to introducing kids to recipes from around the world, the cookbooks also encourage children to use their new skills to get involved in their community. Each book exposes children to a different charity and shows them how they can use their new cooking abilities to help others.”
Did y’all know I like cooking and baking? It’s not like I keep it a big secret! And now, Sonshine can cook and bake with me with less mess and more cuteness thanks to Handstand Kids new line of cooking apparel! They’ve rolled out adorable, 100% cotton and machine washable (yes!) kids cooking apron, chef hat and oven mitt.
The chef apron has a drawstring that loops around the neck and then down to tie around the waist. Simply pull the string to adjust to your kids size. Right now, it covers my (almost) two year old neck to toe, so, clean up is a breeze! I just throw the messy apron in with a load of laundry. The colors did not bleed and kept as vibrant as when I first received the items. The apron also has large red pockets on the front. I took a wooden spoon and stuck it inside. He loved it and was able to locate the picture of the spoon on his apron and oven mitt.Connect
