“The Dry-Me bedwetting alarm is a highly effective enuresis alarm that should be near the top of the ?value-minded? shopper’s list. Modestly priced, this alarm is equipped with several features designed to provide comfort and deliver enhanced alert methods to wake even the deepest sleepers when wetting occurs.”
I am SO excited to tell you all about my AMAZING experience with Dry-Me bedwetting alarm. One of my children (who will remain nameless due to sensitive subject) WAS wetting the bed at a minimum 5 nights out of 7. The tears every night, every morning, low self-esteem, turning down sleep over invitations, etc. are so heart breaking. When I told my child the fantastic news about testing the Dry-Me bedwetting alarm, the joy was pouring out, the smile huge and the eyes shinning (and tear-less). Daily trips to the mailbox were made in anticipation of the delivery.
Now, let me back up…..first, things, first. I 100% recommend that you read Seven Steps to Nighttime Dryness by Renee Mercer, MSN, CPNP. I learned so much and had no idea how simple changes could also help my child through this struggle. Seven Steps to Nighttime Dryness will help you properly use the bedwetting alarm. The book covers what to expect at each stage, how long to use the alarm and a ton of answers to your common questions.
“The alarm is small and lightweight and features a plastic clip molded directly on the back of the alarm unit, which clips comfortably at the shoulder area or collar of the child’s pajamas. The alarm’s small moisture sensor is threaded under your child’s shirt and is clipped to the outside of close fitting underwear where wetness would first occur. This bedwetting alarm is well made and designed to go off at the first sign of moisture.”
There are different settings on the Dry-Me bedwetting alarm. This allows you to pick the setting right for your child as well as change the settings as they progress. The Dry-Me bedwetting alarm has 3 alert settings: sound and vibration, sound only or vibration only. The sounds on the alarm will randomly play 8 different sounds. This means your child doesn’t start blocking out one specific sound (like my children do with my “stop doing that” voice, “pick up ….” voice, “let’s go we are late” voice, etc). I used the sound and vibration.
The bedwetting alarms are recommended for children 5 and up. I really wish I had known about such a thing years ago. To learn even more, check out this video.
If you have a child who is wetting the bed, I 100% recommend you purchase the Dry-Me bedwetting alarm and the Seven Steps to Nighttime Dryness immediately. You will not be sorry and your child will be too happy to be “dry” all night long.
