The health of our new puppy starts with his diet. We want to be sure to give him food that is good for his diet and will help him to grow. That being said, puppies need food that is specially formulated for a puppy. He can’t just eat the food that the bigger dogs eat.
“At Wellness?, we do whatever it takes to create the healthiest foods for the pets that depend on us. Food feeds their souls, sustains their lives and protects their bodies. That’s why our diverse team of animal lovers, nutritionists and vets has only one mission: To help you provide your pet a healthy, happy, long life through the power of natural nutrition.”
I’ve heard great things about Wellness and their line of pet food, so I was excited to try some food and treats for our little Maxwell. I couldn’t believe how much stuff they included in my package! Max must have been able to smell right through the bag because he was poking around all over while I was trying to get photos. I guess he wanted to be in the picture too. What a silly boy!
Our package contained Wellness CORE Puppy Formula, Wellness Pure Rewards Treats, Wellness WellBars and some sample bags. We also received PetArmor, a flea and tick solution.

We started feeding Max Wellness CORE Puppy Formula by mixing it into the brand of food that he was eating at the time. Experts say that is the best way to transition between different foods as it takes their bodies a few days to adapt to different nutrient levels.
Max enjoyed the Wellness CORE Puppy Formula right from the start. Now he is eating full bowls of it and loves it. He gets so excited for feeding time, it’s adorable! Many times, he even lies down to eat his food; which I’ve never seen a dog do before.
He really enjoys the treats too. We’ve been training him with the treats to do tricks. He’s doing really well and already knows how to sit, {lay} down, speak, give paw and sometimes roll over. The Man has been watching training videos, so he works with Max quite often.
We also received PetArmor to try out on Max. It’s still winter here weather wise and snow is still covering the ground, so we haven’t had the chance to use this yet. Hopefully the weather will change soon so Max can enjoy the outdoors!
