Well Spring is here – and you know what that means… Summer isn’t too far behind! I cannot even begin to express my excitement over the warm weather to come. I’ve been ready for it for months and now, thanks to Hapari, I’m more ready than ever!
You see, in my opinion, Hapari offers the best swimsuits ever for girls like me. You know, the girls with a little extra meat on their bones who never did quite lose all that baby weight. Yep, that would describe me!
I used to fear putting on a bathing suit, until I tried on my very first Hapari tankini a few years ago. Right away, I felt comfortable in my own skin, while wearing a bathing suit. I honestly hadn’t felt that way since before I had Big Bro – 14 years ago! Since that first suit, I’ve had two others from Hapari and I love them all. Their tankinis are sized to fit and they are a bit longer than others, which I love because I have a long torso the way it is. I believe a swimsuit should cover and I don’t want all that junk hanging out, if you know what I mean!
For this review, I chose the Leilani Drawstring Tankini Top and Black Boy Short Swim Bottom. I loved the drawstring effect of the tankini and that it could be worn gathered up or let down. I immediately thought it would provide great coverage.

Ok, so I mentioned before that I am extremely self-conscious. I really didn’t want to post a photo of me in a swimsuit for the whole world to see, but I did, so you can see first hand what I’m talking about – that these suits really do provide great coverage where you need it the most. You can see here that the tankini covered my entire stomach, and then some. The gathered up effect seems to make it a bit more flattering too.
I love the fact that when I have the top gathered, the drawstrings aren’t super long. They’re just the right length to rest right above the bottom of the boy shorts. You can see the cute little signature Hapari logo of a hibiscus flower too – love it!
I’m no stranger to Hapari’s boy shorts either. I own a pair in a different color, and I just adore them. They give the perfect amount of coverage and make me feel a bit “sassy”. Of course, they fit great too!
