There’s nothing quite like a refreshing fruity flavored sangria on a hot summer day, and today, I’m sharing one of my absolute favorite strawberry peach sangria recipes with you. What I really enjoy about the recipe, aside from the sweet flavor of peaches and strawberries, is the hint of sour from the lemon. I think that’s what really completes this delightful strawberry peach sangria!
What does Moscato sangria taste like?
As you can see I’m using Moscato wine to make this homemade sangria. This delicious white wine pairs well with the strawberries, peaches, and lemon. This Moscato sangria will taste like a juicy ripe strawberry and peach with a hint of citrus from the lemon slices.
Is Sangria stronger than wine?
On average sangria is a little stronger than wine, but with this strawberry peach sangria, you’ll consume the same amount of alcohol by volume that you’d consume when drinking 2 cups of Moscato wine. I’m not adding any other liquor into my sangria, and it seems that Moscato wine carries a 5-10 percent ABV on average.
What kind of wine is Moscato?
Moscato is an Italian wine that’s known for its fruity notes. This white wine is made from muscat blanc grape and is generally served as a dessert wine with a hint of fizz. The fizzy texture of Moscato reminds me of sipping on a mixed drink made with a citrus soda, such as Sprite. You will find that this Moscato sangria isn’t as fizzy as Sprite, but rather has a hint of fizz with each sip.
This strawberry peach sangria may be served as a cocktail during a special event or enjoyed as a nightcap after a busy day. I love the refreshing flavor of strawberries, peaches, and lemon mixed with my Moscato wine on a hot summer day.
Whether you’re looking for your next boozy fruit drink to serve your friends or making this strawberry peach sangria for yourself, I’m confident this drink will become one of your favorites to make.
