Once the cats have had their fill of food, it’s play time. They have a whole collection of toys, but they have always loved the?DIY pompom cat toy that I made for them; so I decided it was time to make some more!
DIY pompom cat toy
These pompom cat toys are super simple to make, and the only supply that you will need is some yarn, which you likely already have lying around the house somewhere.
Step 1. Cut a length of yarn at least 5-6 feet long; more if you want an even fluffier pompom. Cut an additional 6 inch length of yarn and set it aside for later.
Step 2. Wrap the yarn around 3 or 4 of your fingers, until you reach the end.
Step 3.Carefully take the yarn off your fingers, making sure not to let it unravel. Lay the 6 inch length of yarn down, then set the yarn that you had wrapped around your fingers on top of it.
Step 4.Tightly wrap the 6 inch length of yarn around the wrapped yarn and tie it in a knot.
Step 5. Turn the project over and tightly wrap it on the other side and tie in a double knot.
Step 6. Using a scissors, cut all of the loops.
Step 7. Once you have made sure that all of the loops are cut, snip off the longer ends from the length of yarn that you tied it all together with.
Now it’s play time. Have fun!
