I have been wanting to make a holder for my essential oil veggie gel capsules that I make, but every time I go to the store I forget to get the right drill bit. Today I remembered and I made my veggie gel capsule holder. I had a piece of scrap wood that I had used the Router on and have been holding onto it for a while to use for this purpose. Friday I started a new weight loss supplement using my essential oils, and wanted an easier way to pour my oils. I also needed a way to store my veggie gel capsules so they would stay fresh and not leak onto anything. This DIY Essential Oil Veggie Cap Holder took all of five minutes to make.
- Piece of wood approximately 8″ x 1″
- Drill bit size determined by veggie gel capsule
- Router if you want to get fancy
First determine the center of your piece of wood. Make guide lines using your ruler I marked a half inch on each end and every 3/4 inch I made a mark to drill my holes. Once you have finished drilling all your holes clean the area up well. Once I got all the sawdust out of my holes I used sandpaper to sand down any blemishes I may have had. Then I dusted it off again to get all the sawdust off my holder. If you choose I have read where Linseed Oil is used on wood to preserve it so that you can serve food on them. For now I have not sealed my wood.
Once you have made your veggie gel capsules for the next few days make sure to place them in the refrigerator to keep them fresh. This holder made it so much easier to pour my essential oils. I had a friend of mine that had a wider piece of wood that she was using, and having a hard time pouring her oils without making a mess. So yes larger would be better, but its not as efficient. I have enough veggie gel capsules to last me the next three days. If you would like a holder for yourself please go Here.
