With a new year comes the chance to wipe the slate clean so to speak. I also consider it a good time to try new things. In terms of reading I suggest trying to read some book genres you might not have normally or in the case of my house we weed out old titles to make room for some new ones! Here are some fun books from Parragon to help inspire your kids to follow their passions and dream big!
For riding in the car I really like wipe-clean activity books for the girls. That way it requires one “writing utensil” so I don’t have to hear whining from them regarding colors they want to use but we don’t have. Then when they are done they can just wipe it down so they can play with it again next time. The Disney Princess Wipe Clean activity book is full of hours of princess fun including drawing, spot the different (a mom personal fav) and connect the dots. Easily slips into a backpack for a traveling distraction.
Another fun set of activities is the Disney Princess Mini Tin. It may be small put it is packed full of stickers, a 64 page activity book and a magical sticker scene. The small size makes it great to fit in an Easter basket and then to put in a cute kid’s size purse for some fun while waiting for an appointment or at a restaurant.
For those girls that enjoy the idea of a journal but are young enough to need one with prompts then the Disney Tangled the Series the Dreamer in Me: My Secret Journal is a great choice! Includes quizzes, doodling spaces, and places to write down hobbies and dreams. Plenty of thought provoking questions so that your little princess can start her very own journal!
I am also including a monthly storybook to read to younger ones. Walk with Me by Margret Wise Brown is an adorable story that follows two squirrels as they make their way through the woods.
This cute story is great for both boys and girls ages 5-6. Lil Sis is 6 and thinks this book is adorable and has asked me to read it several times over. Since the “harsh winter of Florida” is basically over we are already talking about Spring and this book fits perfectly with that.
I wish everyone a long year of enjoying new adventures in reading! These Disney Princess Activity Books and the storybook are great additions to a child’s bookshelf.
