Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because it basically just involves us gathering with our family, allowing us the opportunity to enjoy a meal and each other’s company. It’s a tradition that my husband’s family has done since before he was born and is a great time for bonding and sharing the things that we’re thankful for. Today, I’m honoring those traditions that have been alive for 4 generations to see and sharing ways to make Thanksgiving special. This post is sponsored by BabbleBoxx.com. All opinions are my own.
Tasty desserts
Thanksgiving really is all about the food and since we travel about 45 minutes to the venue, I’m in charge of appetizers. I always make sure to bring everyone’s favorites, like my famous deviled eggs and a sausage and cheese platter. This year, I’m also bringing the Autumn Harvest Dipped Fruit Trio? from Edible Arrangements, which includes Chocolate dipped strawberries with festive orange swizzle, Chocolate and caramelized hazelnut covered bananas, and Salted caramel apple wedges. It will make a wonderful addition to our Thanksgiving dessert selection and here’s some great coupons for you!

Festive beverages
Tasty beverages are the life of a party and Clean Cocktails for the Modern Mixologist has you covered with pages upon pages of delicious beverages that are sure to be a hit. I’m eyeing up the Pucker Up Punch and In Too Deep to share with the family!
There is also these super tasty Sipp Sparkling Organic Drink and the Mojo Berry flavor sure helps to create a tasty Blackberry Mint Margarita! It’s even tasty on its own for those who don’t partake in alcohol.
Treats for the pets
We’re a family of dog lovers and our little Bella will be coming with us. We don’t give our pups table scraps, so she’ll be super thankful that we’ll bring along the Solid Gold Superfoods Chewy Dog Treats with Turkey, Sweet Potato and Cinnamon. Turkey, sweet potatoes and cinnamon are blended together in this treat to deliver pups a nutrient-dense reward. As you can see, Bella is already a fan!
Giving back
Thanksgiving is the perfect opportunity to give together, as a family and a fun idea is to get everyone to pitch in what they can for a Petlanthropy Donation Gift Card to help cats and dogs! As a group activity, you can go to their website to find animal shelters and projects to share your donation with! What a great idea for a new family tradition!
Expressing gratitude
Something that we do, that I absolutely love, is going around the room and expressing our gratitude. Each person must share at least one thing that they are thankful for. Not only is it a great way to share with others what you’re thankful too, but it helps to give YOU other ideas of things in your life to be thankful for!
