It’s no secret that I am a car lover. Ever since I first put my foot down on a gas pedal, I have felt that need for power and speed. I am at one when I am driving and road trips by myself don’t bother me in the least. In fact, they never have; and in my late teens through early twenties, I drove between Wisconsin and Indiana every week, sometimes more.
Those road trips were made in my first car, a 1990 Mazda MX6. I loved that car, and have had strong feelings towards Mazda since. I love the Mazda CX-9 that I drove for a week and was super excited when I heard that In would be test driving the 2017 Mazda6.
It was love at first sight of the Mazda6. It’s such a sleek and pretty car, there’s really nothing not to love about the outside appearance of it. That soul red metallic color is just gorgeous and the 19 inch alloy wheels give it a sporty look. It’s even beautiful from the back end!
Then I stepped inside and was totally head over heels. That parchment nappa leather interior was just gorgeous and that sunroof brought back memories of my first car.
The interior is extremely comfortable, with 8-way driver’s seat with lumbar and 2 position driver’s seat memory. This is a feature that I absolutely love because it’s very ideal for couples who share their vehicles. Heated seats and steering wheel are an even bigger bonus once the cold temperatures hit and I really appreciated them during the cold weather last week!
Practically everything in the Mazda6 is controlled by the screen on the dash, which is also where the back up camera displays. The pane with the shiftier houses the buttons for the driver to control the music, navigation and more, allowing for convenience and safer driving.
You might notice that “sport” button right next to the shifter and that is an awesome little tool to give you that extra sporty boost.
The Mazda6 has all of the bells and whistles that you would want in a car, along with amazing handling and drive-ability. I could go on and on sharing the features but I think you should head to the website and check it out for yourself. or better yet, head to the dealer and take one for a test drive. I don’t think you’d be disappointed one bit. The Mazda6 is a sleek, sexy car that handles well and is roomy enough for a family. We’re discussing our next car and the Mazda6 is at the top of my list.
