The National Kidney Foundation’s new #HeartYourKidneys campaign is dedicated to educating people about the importance of kidney health. They have created special items to help people get hydrated which is essential to kidney health such as “Heart Your Kidney” water bottle and a Smart Tattoo.
?Heart Your Kidney? Hidrate water bottles were developed by Hidrate Spark, and they will be available for sale during the month of March. It will actively monitor your water intake through your smartphone and a sensor that makes your water bottle glow to remind you to hydrate. It will also send you text messages that way if youarenot near your water bottle you still get reminders to drink more water -This water bottle has been great to have between the sensor and the text reminders I am drinking more water than ever to hydrate my kidneys. ?I think everyone neglects their kidneys without meaning to. ?I’ve been trying to drink more water since the first of the year to help on my journey of health,?and basically I have to drink three liters or more a day to become more healthy. ?Most days that seems impossible, but with “Heart Your Kidney” water bottle it makes it so much easier to reach my daily water goals and it connects to my fitbit!
Another great product is the first-of-its-kind a microfluidic smart tattoo that measures signs of kidney health.
