We’ve fed our dogs Dog Chow? Complete Adult for as long as I can remember. It’s a brand that we trust and the dogs love so it just makes sense. Now that we’ve got the little pup, Bella, we feed her Dog Chow? Puppy Chow? Complete because its highly digestible formula contains a lot of protein to help her muscles grow strong. As a dog mom, I appreciate that Dog Chow is made in US plants and has 90 years of proven nutrition.
You can grab Dog Chow and other Purina brands in the pet aisle at Target and I love that you can find large and small bags because I like to grab the big ones so that I’m not shopping for their food as often, or even running out!
DIY dog leash and treat holder
Alright, now we’ll move on to this?DIY dog leash and treat holder tutorial that you’ve been oh so patiently awaiting! I’ve got to give my husband props on this one because he helped cut and assemble the wood as well as the finishing touches. I basically just did the stenciling – ha!
You’ll need the following supplies to make your own?DIY dog leash and treat holder:
- 3 pieces of pallet wood, 12″ wide
- 1 – 8″ piece of pallet wood, cut in half lengthwise (to use as brace in back)
- saw
- sand paper
- coat hook
- sawtooth hanger
- small mason jar
- letter stencils
- paw print stamp or stencil
- wood stain
- craft paint
- small screws
- small nails
Step 1.?Cut and sand your wood. Line your 3 – 12″ pieces of wood up and attach the brace with some nails, right in the middle to hold it all together.
Step 2. Stain the entire front and sides, using your choice of wood stain color.
Step 3.?Using your favorite font of 1 or 2 inch letter stencils, paint the words, LIVE LOVE BARK and stamp paw prints in the top left and bottom right corners.
When you’re done, it should look something like this:
Step 4.?Attach the’sawtooth hanger to the back using a hammer and nails.
Step 5. Add the hook ?to the right of the words, using very small screws. Be careful not to use the ones that come in the hook’s package because they’re likely too long and will punch through the back of the sign.
Step 6. Using a nail, puncture a hole through the ring of the mason jar, then use a small screw to attach to the left of the words. Screw the jar onto the ring.
Hang your?DIY dog leash and treat holder on the wall, load it with treats and hang a leash or two on it!
