The summer blockbuster hit, Disney?Pixar’s Finding Dory, swims home just in time for the holidays on Digital HD and Disney Movies Anywhere (DMA) now and on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, DVD and On-Demand on November 15th. Viewers can watch Dory‘s hilarious and heartwarming quest to find her family and continue the underwater adventure with hours of immersive bonus features.
?Finding Dory? features an all-star voice cast, reuniting Ellen DeGeneres (?The Ellen DeGeneres Show?) and Albert Brooks (?This is 40?) as Dory and Marlin, the ever-optimistic blue tang and the uptight but loyal clownfish. Ed O?Neill (?Modern Family?) lends his voice to ‘septopus? Hank, Kaitlin Olson (?It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia?) voices whale shark Destiny, and Ty Burrell (?Modern Family?) gives voice to beluga whale Bailey. Dory‘s doting parents Charlie and Jenny are portrayed by Eugene Levy (?Schitt’s Creek?) and Diane Keaton (?Love the Coopers?), and 12-year-old Hayden Rolence (?Beta Persei?) steps in as Nemo, the young clownfish with a lucky fin.
Thirteen years after the original, audiences get a new chapter in the story of their favorite forgetful blue tang. As returning director Andrew Stanton describes, ?I realized that I was worried about Dory. The idea of her short-term memory loss and how it affected her was unresolved. What if she got lost again?? His response is a touching tale of friendship and family that’s truly unforgettable ? perhaps even for Dory.

Hidden Gem Easter Eggs
Nostalgic Wheels ? The truck that is featured late in the movie features a logo from the 1986 short ?Luxo, Jr.? produced by Pixar and directed by John Lasseter. The short’s success helped launch the studio, and the image of the desk lamp appears in Pixar’s iconic logo today.
- The license plate on the truck sports A113, which is reminiscent of the CalArts classroom for first-year graphic design and character animation where many of the artists and animators at Pixar began to build their craft.
- Sets Art Director Don Shank’s name can be seen in the truck’s grill.
Tag It ? The tags donned by the lazy sea lions snoozing outside the Marine Life Institute together bear the iconic A113. While Rudder’s tag reads A1, Fluke’s says 13.
Field Trip ? Riley from 2015’s ?Inside Out? appears in a group of kids touring the Marine Life Institute. She is clearly featured in a frame with Dory.

The characters from Finding Nemo have held a special place in the heart of everyone in my family for many years now. A movie that was so fresh and well animated it was an instant hit. We were beyond excited to see Finding Dory. I was a little nervous the sequel would not live up to the original but Finding Dory is a MUST-SEE for Disney/Pixar fans. We finally get to see the background of Dory, arguably the favorite character in the Finding Nemo franchise. Once you are done watching this fabulous family film then check out all the awesome bonus features. The Marine Life Mini Short might be my favorite of the bunch but the deleted scenes are fun too. Just in time for the holidays this movie makes a perfect stocking stuffer!
