Lil Sis is always asking me to do school work with her after school. She is so eager to learn that she wants more than what preschool gives her. Of course I have no idea what to do or how to work with her so I depend on outside sources. Gakken Workbooks from their Go Go Series offer the perfect educational tool to enhance your child’s ability to think critically and creatively solve problems. It’s designed to prepare your child for life in the classroom through a creative learning process. Lil Sis absolutely LOVES these and is always asking to do more.
Gakken?is the #1 educational publisher in Japan. Its workbooks and classes have been sharpening young minds in Asia for 30 years. Now Gakken is introducing their unique, tried-and-true system of fun-first activities in North America. Gakken’s mission has always been to produce fun-first, educational materials for families. In addition to publishing bestselling workbooks, the company is widely respected in academic circles?publishing popular teaching materials for preschools, kindergartens, and primary schools. Gakken also runs more than 14,000 learning centers called ?Gakken Classrooms? and operates nursery schools?all inspired by the successful formula used in their workbooks.
With the Go Go Series, kids?play through?the pages rather than working their way through.
While they are playing, they are also:
- improving their hand-eye coordination
- building fine motor skills
- learning how to follow increasingly challenging sequential directions
- sorting and matching things by shape or color
- enhancing their observational skills
- boosting their creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving skills
- acquiring and reinforcing healthy life habits
The stickers in the front tell you what they are to be used for and on what pages. Lil Sis is extremely motivated to use the stickers in activities as well as the sticker reward for each page. I especially appreciate that the workbooks include notes to parents on every page, offering advice on how to help children get the most out of each challenge.
These are great when prepping your little ones for for the school year or like me for when Lil Sis wants to do some extra “work.” This series includes workbooks for ages 2 to 6. These are so fun that I even enjoy working on them with her. All the pages are colorful, engaging, fun, challenging and educational. I only wish I had known about these workbooks sooner!
