I have always been into books which is why I became a librarian and since having kids of my own I have switched gears and found myself in love with children’s picture books all over again. I am sharing with you my latest read which is Ursa’s Light by Deborah Marcero. Gorgeous illustrations accompany this story that reminds everyone to reach for the stars!
One night Ursa had an idea.
An amazing idea.
A wild idea
She was going to fly!
Ursa likes to imagine anything is possible…even flying! She is a driven and determined bear who despite some resistance and discouraging nay-sayers boldly decides to try her hardest to follow her dreams. Peter Pauper Press is celebrating the book’s publication this week April 17th thru the 25th to coincide with the annual Lyrid Meteor Showers which usually take place every year between April 16th – April 25th. April is also the month that the constellation Ursa Major is most visible. My little family loves the outdoors and looking at the stars so we will have to? make a special trip away from city lights to go out and see Ursa Major. This is a fabulous picture book for kids ages 4 to 8 to enjoy.
