American Girl recently announced the debut of its first-ever premium line of construction toys for girls ages 8 and up! Based on their popular Girl of the Year line, the new Mega Bloks American Girl building sets and mini figures help girls bring past fan favorites Grace, Isabelle, Saige, McKenna and Nicki and their story worlds to life in a fun new way. With two girls of my own that LOVE American Girl and building toys this news got HUGE squees of delight from them. As if American Girl was not already one of the best toys around they somehow go ahead and make it even more amazing with these toy sets!
Girls can now spend hours building up the sets and then playing with them. It of course comes with easy to follow color instructions and the fully moveable figures are very nice too!
They are sooooo stinkin’ cute once put together! Of course your kids can build up anyway they want too!
The Girl of the Year-inspired construction line by Mega Bloks for American Girl includes the following sets:
- Grace’s 2-in-1 Buildable Home: The play options are endless with this deluxe 2-in-1 set, featuring 749 pieces. Girls can choose to build Grace’s Home, her Patisserie, or a Slumber Party.
- Isabelle’s Ballet Recital: Girls can help Isabelle put on the perfect performance with this set that includes Isabelle and Luisa mini figures, a buildable ballet studio, a main stage with spinning floor, and a rehearsal area with real fabric details.

- McKenna’s Gymnastics Training: Girls can help McKenna practice her routine with this buildable gymnastics set with high bar, winner’s podium, and real fabric details.
- Uptown & Downtown Style Collections: Each style collection includes accessories like hairstyles, skirts, purses, glasses, and hats to create three unique American Girl mini figures. Combine with other Mega Bloks American Girl playsets for additional fun.
- Collectible Figures Assortment: Girls can collect eight highly detailed, fully articulated American Girl mini figures. Each figure is unique and comes with a stylish accessory and display block.
The Mega Bloks American Girl products range in price from $3.99 to $69.99 and are currently available exclusively at Toys “R” Us in the U.S. and Canada. The line will expand into other U.S. and Canada-based mass retailers starting in July. My girls can’t get enough of these and honestly neither can I!
