I test drove a Kia Sorento for a week in exchange for this feature. All opinions are my own.
Now that the kids are older and taller than me, packing the whole family in my little car poses challenges for us. We deal with things like getting a knee in the back of the driver’s seat and kids complaining about there being no room to shift around. So the first thing I want to tell you about the Kia Sorento is that it’s a great car for families with teens!
Why is the Kia Sorento a great car for families with teens?
Well, the answer is simple. Everything about the Kia Sorento makes it a great car for families with teens! Here are a just few of the reasons.
- Roomy Interior – The back seat is very roomy, with plenty of leg room for a?6 foot teen. The third row seat comes in handy for hauling around their friends and the back cargo space is insane when that third row seat isn’t being used!
- Killer Sound System – Kids love their music loud and this mama does too! Your whole family can rock out thanks to the?Infinity surround sound system with 10 speakers, external amplifier and subwoofer. This feature is optional in the EX and EX V6 models, standard in SX V6, Limited and Limited V6.
- Armrest, Cup Holders?& front seat back pockets?– Because teens?need space for things, the armrest helps them get comfortable with a spot to rest their arm and cup holders to hold their beverages. Tablets, books and more can be stowed in the front seat back pockets.
- Power Outlets – Because they’re usually glued to electronics, the backseat offers all sorts of charging options including a USB charger port, 12 Volt power outlet and a 110 Volt power inverter!
There are some pretty sweet features for drivers in the Kia Sorento too, one of my favorites being the Driver’s Seat Integrated Memory System. It allows you to preset two positions for both the driver’s seat and outside mirrors. It’s a perfect feature?to have when more than one person drives the vehicle!
The Kia Sorento is loaded with other great features too like heated seats and steering wheel,?height-adjustable front seat-belt anchors, remote keyless entry and so much more. There are tons of safety features and some pretty awesome mechanical and performance features.
The Kia Sorento is really an all-around awesome vehicle for anyone. We took it on a trip to Chicago and??compared to my car, this thing felt like it could almost drive itself. I was a little bit sad when I had to give it back at the end of the week and this baby is at the top of our list for a crossover vehicle. There are 8 different trims available, starting at $25,100.
