My girls adore crafting more than I can possibly understand. I am not the craftiest mom out there but even the suggestion of making a craft with my girls gets serious squees of delight. I feel like crafts can be time-consuming, expensive and I lack the creative gene to come up with cute stuff to make. TutoTod is an iPad app that shows parents how to do crafts without spending money on supplies and hours on the Internet looking for the right craft. You let the app know what supplies you already have lying around the house and TutoTod?gives you instructions on how to make something that kids will love.
The app is pretty simple to use. You select the materials and tools that you have at home, and TutoTod will give you craft ideas. Every tutorial consists of detailed steps that will guide you through the process along with time estimates to get it finished. During different steps or stages, you will see tips which will help you motivate your child even more and get the maximum out of each activity.
- Select the materials you want to use.
- Select the tools you want to use.
- Choose the tutorial from the list.
The App contains 49 basic arts and crafts tutorials for children and special packages like Halloween and Christmas with 20 tutorials each.
Here is a picture of winter story my daughter made. All we needed was white paper and scissors. Super cute and took no more than 10 minutes and my daughter was thrilled with how it turned out.
I adore this app because it is a fast and easy app that works with the many craft supplies we already have! Even though it is geared for toddlers my 7 year old loved it just as much as my 4 year old. You can download TutoTod app in the iTunes Store. With TuToTod there will be no more stress when the kids want to craft.
