The holidays are such a special time of year. It’s the season to be thankful for all?that you have and to show your love and appreciation for others. I always love to?decorating my home this time of year, making every room?festive and fun!?We’ve had a really busy couple of weeks so the tree isn’t up and the decor bins are still in the basement but I was able to grab some beautiful new holiday decor from Kohl’s to decorate our family room for the holidays.
The fireplace is the focal point in that room so I really wanted to go with the natural look and I just adore the result. I found this great piece made from wood boards anda metal snowflake. It looks handmade and I just adore it. It reminds me of the outdoors so I put the little camouflage Santa next to it.
I’m seeing a lot of reindeer this year and found some perfect pieces to incorporate into our decor. This set of two metal reindeer candle holders found a perfect home on one end of the mantle, next to a fun “Eat, Drink and Be Merry” sign. I weaved?a strand of light up branches between it all, across the mantle and it really just completes the look, especially at night!
Then I picked up a large reindeer that hold 5 tealight candles and he’s equally as adorable. It looks great on my end table!
Kohl’s has a large assortment of holiday pillows and it was a tough decision for me to choose between 3 or 4 sets.?I finally decided to stick?with the reindeer theme that I seemed to have fallen in love withandthey really add a bright pop of color to the sofa!
I’ve had this candle holder for years and I always try to find a great candle for it and this faux birch wood candle fits perfectly.
I seemed to have fallen in love with reindeer this time around but in keeping with my tradition of collecting snowmen, I added this one to my collection and I just love it! The string of lights actually light up, making it super festive!
I’m one to display my holiday cards, rather than putting them in a drawer or on a table to collect dust. I had a perfect place for them at the old house, but haven’t found a space that I “loved” for them at this house. Then I came across this wreath card holder and it’s absolutely perfect!
