In our house once Halloween is over we begin our tradition of watching Christmas movies. Cinedigm has so many to offer this holiday season. I love that all of their movies are up lifting and family-approved. ?What a great way to start the holiday season by spending quality time with your family.
Synopsis: Mitch Taylor, is a workaholic attorney and widowed dad to a 12 year-old son, Robbie. Lately, Mitch is in way over his head, trying to be a dad, please his hard-edged boss and make partner, while juggling an impatient girlfriend. His son Robbie has problems of his own. The school bully has made Robbie his latest target, he is trying not to be a total nerd in front of the girl he likes, and to make things worse, he was cast as lead role in the Christmas Pageant unwillingly. Robbie really wants his dad to go out of his way this year to make Christmas all it’s cracked up to be. Mitch and Robbie definitely think the other has it pretty easy?until a mysterious package from Santa causes them to switch bodies. Be careful what you wish for. They are forced to find out what it’s like to spend the holidays in each other’s shoes.
Two single parents fall in love while ‘splitting custody? over a puppy they both wanted to give to their children for Christmas. After visiting a local animal shelter, single mom Maggie adopts an adorable Labrador Retriever for her son, Ethan. But complications soon arise as they discover their new pet was mistakenly placed at the pond after losing his original family; bachelor-dad Jack and his daughter, Olivia. Deciding to share the dog, the foursome spends quality time together and realize they may have more in common that just their canine companion.
It is Christmas Eve and the Silberhaus children are excited for the festivities to begin. Marie witnesses a great battle between a vast army of toy soldiers led by the Nutcracker against a terrible platoon of mice commanded by the Mouse King. Follow Marie and Fritz’s journey in the Kingdom of Dolls, through the Christmas Forest, past the Almond Milk Sea, and the Palace of the Marzipans.
An inspirational holiday story about sweet couple that is expecting decide to make two children in the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program very happy for Christmas. Based on the real life story of hit country star, Jimmy Wayne who experienced receiving his first guitar from this program when he was nine. He credits Salvation Army and those that take part in the Angel Tree Program for where he is today. In the movie a child who is enrolled in the program encounters a disillusioned businessman who picked his name from the tree. They end up showing each other what faith and hope really mean. Reminding families what the holiday season is really about.
Our favorite channel to watch during the holiday season is the Hallmark Channel. I love not having to worry about the movies being inappropriate. My daughter will sit and watch Christmas movies all day if I let her. ?They are inspirational, and what a great time to bond with your children.
