As a women there are certain items that I’d deem as “purse essentials” – things that I like to have on hand wherever I go. But the problem that I have is that these things tend to fall to the bottom of my purse and never stay organized. So my creative juices started flowing and I decided that I’d make a pouch to stash all of my essentials in.
But before I share my easy?DIY Zippered Purse Pouch project with you, I’d like to talk about those essential items that us ladies need to have with us all the time. Like the rest of my skin, my lips are constantly dry. Lip balm is something that I definitely have to carry with me anywhere I go and I’m really digging the ChapStick Total Hydration. Now that it’s cold season, I do everything to prevent myself from getting sick so Emergen-C Immune+ Chewables are something that I’ve been taking daily. You never know when a headache is going to hit and lately, my head starts pounding pretty often. It’s absolutely unbearable at times and Advil is the only thing that works for me.
Advil Tablet Vial
- The original round tablets providing safe, effective pain relief for over 25 years.
- Nothing’s stronger, longer lasting or better on your tough aches and pains than Advil, and nothing works on more pains than Advil (among OTC pain relievers).
- Use Advil tablets for headaches, minor arthritis and other joint pain, muscle aches and pains of the common cold
Other things that I like to carry with me include my favorite perfume samples in case I need to refresh, lotion for my dry skin, lipstick and hair ties for when I need to manage my unruly hair. These items are all small and?now my purse is better organized thanks to my new purse pouch. You won’t believe how easy it was to make, even for those of you without a crafty bone in your body. Here, I’ll show you how!
DIY Zippered Purse Pouch
Supplies:
- Duck Tape in two of your favorite patterns
- Zipper bags – snack size (if you need a larger bag, grab the quart size bags and just use more Duck Tape)
- Scissors
Step 1. Cut a piece of Duck Tape about 2 inches longer than?the width of your bag. Place it evenly across the bag, just under the top of the zipper and smooth out any wrinkles.
Step 2. Take a second piece of Duck Tape, approximately the same length and lay it across the bottom of the bag, overlapping the bottom by about 3/4 of an inch.
Step 3. Flip your bag over and repeat steps 1 and 2, being careful to overlap the first two pieces of Duck Tape from the front.
Step 4. Lay a piece of coordinating Duck Take across the middle of the previous two pieces and repeat on the back side.
Step 5. Trim of the excess Duct Tape from the sides. I went about 1/8 inch off the edge of the zipper. Repeat on both sides. Then trim slightly across the bottom.
Your completed project should look like the image below. It literally took me less than 5 minutes to make mine. In addition to a purse pouch, these would make great makeup bags, ?pencil cases and waterproof document cases for water sports.
